Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree
For the past five years, students in Franklin Pierce’s DPT program at Goodyear have had a 100% pass rate in the National Physical Therapy Licensure Exam. This program takes two-and-a-half-years to complete, which includes full-time clinical work for 38 weeks. Students complete their clinicals in Goodyear or in surrounding towns and cities, such as Phoenix. Students in the program have a 100% employment rate within 6 months of earning their license. This program is CAPTE-accredited, which is required for taking the licensing exam.
Students also have the opportunity to engage in a part-time work-study. In addition to the work-study, there are also graduate research positions available throughout the year for second-year students. These opportunities ensure that students have a source of income while completing their degree. After graduation, students go on to work in hospitals, outpatient clinics, nursing and assisted living homes, private homes, and sports and wellness facilities.
